Cyrus Maunakea’s Summer Internship at PATCH

PATCH hosted two interns from the Kamehameha Schools Kāpili Oihana Internship program this summer, Keala Swafford and Cyrus Maunakea. The program offers students opportunities to increase awareness of Hawaiian values and culture, apply what they have learned in college, and increase their professional skills and knowledge through real life work experiences.

You may have seen Keala’s Food Program Newsletters appearing on this website. We have also featured several videos made by Cyrus and an ‘Olelo TV Public Service Announcement he featured in, on behalf of PATCH.

Recently, Cyrus wrote a story for his college newsletter all about his internship at PATCH. Read on to find out about his experience as a PATCH intern.  Thank you Cyrus, for your hard work and dedicated service. We sincerely hope your experience was engaging and meaningful, and wish you success! You are always welcome at PATCH.
