Congratulations to our Kauai team, who just won the Sheraton Poipu May Day Lei Contest. Mahalo to Susan Brede of the Blue Orchid Flower Shop for crafting the award winning lei using tuberose, splash orchids, and a ti leaf braid. The fragrance was divine and the unique purple color of the orchids were beautiful and represented Kauai whose island color is purple. The lei was dedicated to the “Keiki O Kauai”.

During the Sheraton’s luau, guests visited the tables of the Kauai non-profits, saw their leis and learned about the services they provide to the community. Each luau guest was given one ballot to vote for the lei and nonprofit of their choice slotspalace. As the winner of the 2017 May Day Lei Contest, PATCH will receive the proceeds from Table 53 of the RumFire Restaurant at the Sheraton Poipu.

A big mahalo to the Sheraton and all its wonderful managers and staff who made this event possible. PATCH Kauai plans to offer scholarships to Kauai child care providers to attend the National Association of Family Child Care Conference being held on Kauai in August 2017.

We warmly invite you to participate in the “You Dine, We Donate” experience to support PATCH. When you dine at Table 53, throughout the month of May, Sheraton Kauai Resort will donate the food and beverage proceeds of your dinner check to PATCH. Please call the concierge at 808.742.8200 (or from the hotel, extension 8200) and ask for the “You Dine, We Donate” table (#53).  We appreciate your support!
